You are in the right place if you are looking for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 14 tips.

The English Premier League enters Gameweek 14 as the countdown for the FIFA World Cup 2022 begins. This will be the first of the three-game weeks remaining before the start of the highly awaited tournaments. The teams will look to get the maximum out of these three games and carry the momentum going into a lengthy international break. The last gameweek saw 28 goals scored and there were a few surprising results as Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest, Spurs lost at home to Newcastle United and Arsenal played a draw with Southampton. As the gameweek approaches, we bring you a few Fantasy Premier League tips that could help you with team selection.

Matches to target

The gameweek starts on Saturday as Leicester City hosts defending champions Manchester City at home. None of the teams that finished in the top six last season will face each other. Here are some of the matches that could be targeted in the current gameweek.

Leicester City vs Manchester City

The defending champions will aim to close the gap on Arsenal when they face the Foxes away from home. They are currently two points behind Arsenal in the league table. Pep’s men played a goalless draw in midweek and the players will be hungry to get on the scoresheet against this Leicester City side.

Brighton vs Chelsea

Graham Potter will face his former employees for the first time as a Chelsea manager. The Blues are unbeaten under the new manager, while Brighton are winless under the new one. Chelsea haven’t won their last two games and the former Brighton boss will be aiming for maximum points from this game. Chelsea will have to remain solid at the back.

Liverpool vs Leeds United

The Reds suffered their third defeat of the season against Nottingham Forest in their last match. They will be hungry for three points in this match. Leeds United have lost their last four games and could end up losing five in a row.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest

The Gunners dropped points for the second time in the last gameweek. This has lowered the margin to two points at the top of the table. Arsenal will be facing bottom-of-the-table side Nottingham Forest, who got an impressive 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the last round. This is a crucial match for both teams.

Newcastle United vs Aston Villa

Newcastle United are flying high this season and are sitting in the fourth position in the league. The Magpies are on a seven-match unbeaten run and have a chance to extend it to eight games when they face Unai Emery’s Aston Villa. The manager has returned to the English Premier League for the second time. He will be hoping to get a good result in his first game in charge.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 14 tips 2022/23: Players to target

The gameweek could see plenty of goals as teams look to get the maximum out of the three games left before the break. Erling Haaland scored a brace in the last gameweek and now has 17 goals to his name. Harry Kane became the second player to reach double figures this season. They are being chased by the likes of Alexandar Mitrovic and Ivan Toney. The strikers have been at the top of their game. Here are some of the selected players that you can bring into your FPL teams for the gameweek.

Goalkeeper:

Alisson (5.4): The Brazilian will be looking for his fifth clean sheet of the season when Liverpool faces Leeds United at home. He averages more than three saves per match and is likely to keep a clean sheet in this match.

Aaron Ramsdale (4.9): Like Alisson, the Arsenal goalkeeper will also aim for his fifth clean sheet of the season. Arsenal have kept two clean sheets in the last five matches. Mikel Arteta will be hoping for a better defensive performance against the bottom-of-the-table side.

Defenders:

Joao Cancelo (7.4): The Manchester City full-back has picked up just two points each in his last two matches. He will be hungry to provide an assist or get on the scoresheet in this match. The Portuguese play a very attacking role and could be included in the team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.2): The English international is yet to get to his best form in the current season. However, he can play a crucial role as the player is active on set-piece duties and will look to impress the England manager before the selection of the World Cup squad.

Midfielders:

Kevin De Bruyne (12.3): The Belgian international aims to reach double figures in assists this season. He scored a goal in the previous match and will play a crucial role for a team who could be without their in-form striker.

Miguel Almiron (5.4): The 28-year-old is the most in-form player in the league. He has scored five goals in the last four matches this month and will look to exit this month by scoring a goal in this game. He is a good bargain for the team.

Gabriel Martinelli (6.8): The Brazilian has played well for Mikel Arteta’s side this season. He is a crucial figure in the side and has chipped in with a few goalscoring contributions. Martinelli has four goals and two assists to his name. He will be hungry for more goals.

Alex Iwobi (5.5): Alex Iwobi has been in very good form this season for Everton. He provided two assists in the last game and took his overall tally for the season to five. Everton face Fulham and will be aiming for back-to-back wins.

Forwards:

Harry Kane (11.5): The English international scored four goals in October and has taken his tally to ten goals. Erling Haaland is doubtful for this gameweek and Harry Kane will look to get close to him in the top goal-scorers tally.

Alexandar Mitrovic (6.8): He is just one goal behind Harry Kane in the goalscoring tally. The Serbian has scored three goals this month and will be hungry to get into double figures as soon as possible.

Ivan Toney (7.5): Ivan Toney will face a Wolves side struggling for points. He is the fourth-highest goalscorer in the league with eight goals. The striker aims to get a ticket to Qatar and will look to get on the scoresheet once again.
