Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 Tips: Matches, Players to target, Captain and vice-captains picks and more- 2022/23

You are in the right place if you are looking for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 tips.

The English Premier League is heading towards its second last gameweek before the FIFA World Cup 2022, and the players are all set to give for their club before they head out to play in the prestigious tournament. The teams will also try to get the most points in these two games. Arsenal still holds their lead over defending champions Manchester City. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are sitting in the third and fourth positions, respectively. Manchester United and Chelsea complete the top six in the standings. As gameweek 15 approaches, we bring you a few FPL tips that could help you with your team selection.

Matches to target

The gameweek starts with four matches taking place at the same time. Manchester City is the only team sitting in the top six that will play on Saturday. Leaders Arsenal will travel to Chelsea in the early kickoff on Sunday, while Spurs host an out-of-form Liverpool side in the last match of gameweek 15. Here are some of the matches that should be targeted this week.

Manchester City vs Fulham

Manchester City will aim to go at the top of the table when they host Fulham. The defending champions have a chance to once again lead the table as Arsenal play the next day. Erling Haaland could return to the team and help his side add more goals. Manchester City have only scored four goals in the last three games, and that is below their standard. Fulham’s defence could have a tough day in the office.

Southampton vs Newcastle United

Newcastle United are unbeaten in their last eight matches in the English Premier League. They comfortably sit in the fourth position, and they will look to remain in the top four going into the international break. The Magpies scored four goals in their last match, and this is a chance for them to improve their goal-scoring record.

Wolves vs Brighton

Last weekend, Brighton registered a famous win against Chelsea at home. This was their first win under the new manager. The Seagulls now travel to a relegation-threatened Wolves side. Wolves are the lowest goal-scoring team in the league. Brighton could win back-to-back games for the first time under the new manager.

Spurs vs Liverpool

This will be one of the two biggest matches of the weekend. Tottenham Hotspur have lately become the comeback team and are scoring goals in injury and stoppage time to stun their opponents. Liverpool, on the other hand, suffered back-to-back defeats in the EPL and will be hungry for three points against Antonio Conte’s side. This could turn out to be a high-scoring affair.

Aston Villa vs Manchester United

Manchester United will aim to extend their unbeaten streak to six matches when they face Umai Emery’s Aston Villa away from home. The Red Devils are coming off a 1-0 win over West Ham United, while their opponents suffered a heavy 4-0 loss against Newcastle United. Last season, these two teams played a four-goal thriller, and the match ended with one point for both teams. The visitors head into this match as favourites.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 tips 2022/23: Players to target

This week, four teams that finished in the top six last season will face each other. There will be plenty of players to look forward to in Gameweek 15. One of the players who could make it into the teams of FPL users is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian isn’t 100% fit, according to Pep Guardiola, and the striker missed City’s UCL tie against Sevilla. However, he could return to the team in this match. There are some other players who play different roles. Here are some of the players that could be a part of your team for FPL Gameweek 15.

Goalkeepers:

Nick Pope (5.3): The highest-scoring goalkeeper in the FPL will look to earn his fourth clean sheet in the last five games. Southampton have only scored three goals in the last five games. Pope will be eyeing his seventh clean sheet of the season.

Ederson (5.4): Manchester City’s No. 1 has an easy run of fixtures, and he also eyes his seventh clean sheet of the season. The Brazilian could be a long-term investment in the team.

Defenders:

Joao Cancelo (7.4): The Portuguese international is one of the must-picks on the defensive line. He has taken on a more attacking role this season, which has resulted in two goals and two assists so far for the full-back.

Kieran Trippier (5.9): Trippier is also a good option on the team and is available at a cheaper price than Cancelo. He scored a goal and added his third assist in the previous match. The Englishman could be a good option to add to your FPL side.

Sven Botman (4.4): The Dutchman is a money-saving option for FPL users. He has five clean sheets with the Magpies and has earned three bonus points.

Diogo Dalot (4.8): Manchester United’s right-back is performing well under Erik ten Hag and has kept five cleansheets with the team. Of these five cleansheets, three came in the last four matches.

Midfielders:

Miguel Almiron (5.6): The Paraguayan is on a three-match scoring run and will be aiming to make it four in four games. He has also earned nine bonus points this season. Almiron is also a money-saving option on the side.

Leandro Trossard (6.9): The Belgian international has scored goals in back-to-back matches against the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea. He will look to add the eighth goal to this impressive season.

Wilfried Zaha (7.5): Crystal Palace will hope that their main player fires in this game. He has five goals but has failed to make an impact in the last two games. The Eagles have a relatively easy run of fixtures, and Zaha could capitalise on the opportunities.

Forwards:

Darwin Nunez (8.9): The Uruguayan scored a goal in the midweek and will be a part of the Liverpool side that is facing Spurs away from home. He will aim to make his mark in the domestic league and score his fourth goal of the season.

Callum Wilson (7.5): The striker is having one of the best goalscoring seasons of his life. He has scored six goals and provided three assists in nine appearances this season. Wilson was involved in all four goals last weekend and took 19 points in the gameweek. He is one of the must-haves on the team.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 tips 2022/23: Captain Picks

Manchester City vs Fulham: Kevin De Bruyne, Joao Cancelo, & Erling Haaland

Spurs vs Liverpool: Harry Kane & Mohamed Salah

Southampton vs Newcastle United: Callum Wilson & Miguel Almiron

Nottingham Forest vs Brentford: Ivan Toney

These two game weeks will be crucial for every team. The FPL managers will also be aiming to set their teams for the next two fixtures. There are plenty of options to choose from in gameweek 15, and this could turn out to be a high goal-scoring week.
