England is 3-0 down in this ongoing Ashes as England bowlers didn’t find the proper rhythm in the suitable conditions. Although their batting unit is more worrying compared to the bowling department bowlers were not up to the mark in all three games for visitors.

Stuart Broad, who picked 526 Test wickets in his inspiring bowling career, played only the Adelaide Test match and missed out in the opening game and MCG Test from England.

We have been a bit surprised. Two wickets that would have suited him pretty well,” Smith was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

“He bowled well in Adelaide. He’s always been a good contest for me. He’s got me out quite a few times, I’ve scored some runs off him so it’s been a decent battle,” Smith added.

However, both English pace bowlers, James Anderson and Stuart Broad are in line to play the pink ball Test match. England will be willing to avoid whitewash as they are behind by 3-0 in the ongoing Ashes series.

They’ve got quality bowlers. He and Jimmy (James Anderson) together are two world-class performers, they have been for a long time.

Maybe we’ll see them out here together this week, I’m not sure,” Smith added.

Australia will be up for any challenge despite their dominating lead over visitors and on the other hand, England has to give a completely contrasting performance in the upcoming two matches.

Before Steve Smith, David Warner also mentioned in one of the interviews that “from our perspective, I think it’s great he (Broad) is not playing,” after the Melbourne Test.

The left-handed batsman was dismissed by Stuart Broad as many as seven times in the Ashes 2019.

England Test Team and their selection have been under the scanner in this Ashes. The eyes are on the decisions of skipper Joe Root and coach Silverwood as they are very tentative with their calls for playing XI in this series.
