Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in the history of the Indian Premier League, will kick start their IPL 2022 campaign against Delhi Capitals on 27th March 2022 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Rohit Sharma and Co. will then play against Rajasthan Royals on 2nd April 2022 at DY Patil Stadium. Both the matches will be day games and will begin on 3:30 PM IST. Mumbai Indians will play their last league stage game against Delhi Capitals on 21st May at Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai.
Rohit Sharma, who has led Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles, will continue to lead the side. MI endured a forgettable outing in IPL 2021. In 14 matches, they only managed to win 7 games and thus couldn’t reach the playoffs. Ahead of a new season, Mumbai Indians would be looking to bounce back strongly.
For those of you who don’t know, Mumbai Indians are placed in Group A alongside teams like Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. MI will be playing twice against all these teams. Add to that, they will also be playing against their Group B counterpart Chennai Super Kings twice and once against all the other teams in that group.
